Book a Black Belt Grading Examination

We teach a widely recognised shotokan karate syllabus that follows the belt system. Each level or belt requires the demonstration of a specific syllabus in a grading examination.

Plain black belts are available on sale after the grading.

The grading will be conducted online. The grading spans 2 hours but sometime before the day of the grading you will be allocated a time slot within that 2 hours which is when your grading will take place.

Please ensure that in addition to training in class, you have studied the syllabus in the Shotokan Karate Bible and the Advanced Shotokan Karate bible, as appropriate.

BOOKING NOTES:

• Grading examinations are only open to Just Karate members.
• To grade to 1st dan, students must have already graded to 1st kyu and must have engaged in at least 6 months' training.
• To grade to 2nd dan, students must have already graded to 1st dan and must have engaged in at least 2 years' training.
• When booking via paypal, please ensure that it is clear what the names of the students being booked in are. Please use the "Instructions to merchant" field as necessary.

To qualify for the early booking fee, book in at least 10 days before the course starts.

Cancellation Policy

No refunds for cancellations within 10 days of the lesson date. Just Karate reserves the right to cancel the course. In this case, the cost of the course will be refunded.
