The World Taekwondo Federation. One of the two main world governing bodies
for the Korean art, Taekwondo and is a member of the
Association of Summer Olympic International Federations . The WTF was founded in 1973. It focuses on
the sporting aspects of Taekwondo (the ITF emphasises more traditional
aspects ) and uses full-contact sparring (ITF practises semi-contact).
