Sticky Hands

Some martial arts (for example Wing Chun style Ch'uan Fa) use a technique often called "sticky hands" whereby contact with the opponent's wrists is maintained. This results in any attacks being "smothered" before they even get moving. The hands smoothly follow the motion of the opponents arms but there merely contact: there is no grabbing which might allow the opponent to pull the grabber off balance. In chinese it is called "Chi Sao".
