Broad term used to refer to the martial arts practised in West Java. In East Java the martial arts are referred to as Pentjak. Some Indonesian martial arts are called Kun Tao which is the Indonesian for the Chinese Ch'uan Fa. Each village has its own style of martial art but the main styles are:
- Tji bandar - uses small movements design for use by women and children
- Tji Monet - "ape style"
- Tji Kalung - "bat style"
- Tji Matjan - "tiger style"
- Tji Mandih - characterised by fluid sweeping movements
- Tji Oelar - "snake style"
- Serak - Uses superior speed and counterpunches
