Kenjutsu

Kenjutsu is the Japanese "art of the sword". The earliest records of systematic teaching of the sword on Japan go back to 800 AD. Many kenjutsu practitioners began thinking that there was more to the art than pure fighting. By the 14th century a higher art form had been formulated which they called Kendo.
