Harada Sensei is the president of the KDS. He was born in Manchuria, the son of a Japanese Army Officer. He stayed in China until he was nine when his family returned to Tokyo. He started training in karate in 1943 when he met Yoshitaka Funakoshi. He studied Economics at Wasada University and while there continued his karate training, sometimes attending sessions supervised by Gichin Funakoshi. He was noticed by Sensei Egami who invited him to train with him. Harada received his 5th Dan in 1956. He later moved to Brazil and remained there until 1962. In 1963 he moved to Europe and lives until this day in Great Britain.
