Note: The difference in spelling arises from western transcription conventions: The Wade-Giles spelling wrote a "K" for Chinese words using a "G" sound and a "K'" for a "K" sound. So kung fu should be pronounced "Gung Fu". Not everyone uses the Wade Giles spelling however, some people (most noteably a martial artist and movie star called Bruce Lee) writing and saying "Gung Fu".
