Born in Naha in 1931 and started training with Chojun Miyagi aged 17. He became
uchi deschi to Chujun Miyagi and was the only student to be taught the complete
Goju-Ryu system. Following this tradition, Anichi Miyage passed the whole system on
to one student, Morio Higaonna.
